Hospitality and Tou Rism Education in Korea

In light of current trends toward a global economy and "internationalization"of the hospitality and tourism industry, it is highly important for HRI educators to have a better understanding of the field of hospitality and tourism education in other countries. This paper examines the hospitality and tourism industry of Korea and the country's hospitality and tourism education. The tourism growth strategy employed by the Korean government and the current trends in hospitality and tourism education in the country are reviewed.
