Recruitment Policies and Practices of Restaurants, Hotels and Clubs: a Study of the Personnel Procedures of Hospitality Firms

The authors analyzed thousands of newspaper "help wanted" ads overtime and found a disturbing problem in the use of sex and age-biased phrases, terms, and words in classified ads. They offer warning and counsel to hospitality firms on phrases and the like to watch and strategy to improve legality of ads and image of the industry
